How to Create a Portfolio With Word Press

1000081_man_showing_portfolio_Creating a portfolio with Word Press is very easy, and there are many reasons why you might want to do that. It’s most commonly done by people like artists, writers, and musicians so that they can show their clients what they have to offer, but that doesn’t mean there’s no other reason to have one.

When you set up a Word Press blog (it’s free) you can create your own portfolio pretty easily. Choose a theme. Add any widgets that you want. Then, you can create your pages and begin to add posts. There should be at least three pages. One should be an ‘about me’ page where you let people know who you are and what you do. Make sure you keep it to the point and tell only good things, preferably in the third person.

Post a picture or install a gallery.People like to put a face with a name, and it can help you with credibility. Don’t post the pic showing all your tattoos and your nose ring. Post the professional one with the business suit and no nasal jewelry. Next you’ll need a page where you list your work. It’s essentially a resume, posted online for the world to see. Then you’ll need a page where people can contact you. Some people post their email address, some even post their address and phone number. If you’re not comfortable with that, set up a contact form they can fill out, instead. Then post your content.
