If you’re new to Word Press, one of things that you need to do is make sure you know how to work it correctly and that you’re getting everything out of it that you can be. With that in mind, Word Press tutorials are good choices, since they will teach you everything that you need to know.
Looking for them through a search engine will get you a lot of results, but be sure where they come from and how comprehensive they really are. It’s not a good idea to get these kinds of tutorials from people who don’t have any idea what they are doing. You need to get them from people who know Word Press and are very comfortable with it so that you aren’t led in the wrong direction. There are many good sites that offer tutorials for Word Press, and if they are comprehensive, they will have them broken down into categories and then broken down still further into subcategories when necessary.
In other words, they won’t just give you a little bit of information but they will get all of the way down to really important things that you need to know and that you might not have been able to find with shorter tutorials. Videos and screen shots are great, as well, because they help you understand concepts that might otherwise be a bit confusing to explain, so look for those kinds of things.
Word Press is a blogging tool, but it’s also a great content management tool. Not everyone knows that, though, and they are missing out on some great things that they could be doing with Word Press if they were only more aware of them.
One of those things is making a static page. You can do this quite easily, because Word Press lets you make a site that has several different pages on it. With this in mind, make your main page into something that you don’t want to change and then create other pages that you can use to actually put your blog posts on. That way you’ll still be using Word Press and you’ll know that it’s easy to work with, but your Web site will look a lot more standard and not like it’s ‘only’ a blog. You’ll want some of the plug ins that come along with Word Press, too, because you want to ensure that your site is optimized in the best way possible.
Make sure that issues like SEO are taken care of to keep the search engines happy so you’ll be indexed highly. That will help you to get even more traffic to your site than you otherwise would, so you’ll have a better chance of selling the good or service you’re advertising or imparting the information that you’re trying to offer to others.

There are a lot of benefits to using Word Press. It’s becoming very popular for a blogging tool, and when people see that your blog is on Word Press they generally assume you know what you’re doing, because Word Press is very well respected.
Word Press is also quite versatile. It’s designed to power blogs, but the blogs that it powers are so sophisticated that they can look like regular Web sites, too.
You can set up a front page that’s static and then set up a link to ‘articles’ or something similar on another page and put all of your blog posts there. You’ll want to write things that will be helpful to the people you’re trying to attract, but you should be able to get their attention fairly easily with a Word Press blog that really looks professional. It’s also inexpensive, with the plethora of free themes available.
People think of Word Press as only a blog, but it’s very powerful as a content management system, and that makes it better than the other blogging platforms out there, because they can only deal with blogging. They don’t let you make static front pages or anything else, and so they often don’t look as professional and as well done as Word Press sites do.
If you really want to impress people with your blog, Word Press is the way to go.

If you’re new to Word Press, you’re probably wondering what all the talk is about themes. What are they, and what do they do? These themes are what you use to create the way that your page actually looks, and you want them to be great so that people will enjoy your blog, come back, and maybe use your services or buy something from you if you’re selling a product or service.
However, not every theme will be the right one for you, and depending on the overall tone of your blog you might be better off with certain themes as opposed to others. A blog focused on cars and tools wouldn’t do well with a flower theme, and a blog directed at women probably wouldn’t do as well with a lot of bold, dramatic colors and harsh lines. You have to tailor your Word Press theme to what you’re blogging about so that it all fits together well.
The good news is that there are a lot of Word Press themes. The better news is that most of them are completely free. You won’t have to spend any money to get a great theme, so you won’t need to worry about your blog costing you cash that you’d rather not spend, especially if you’re not looking to monetize your blog and just have it for fun.
